6/25/08 - "Marathon Woman" was up on Clean Sheets, one of my favorite erotica sites. I also have copies of "Lipstick on Her Collar" edited by Sacchi Green and Rakelle Valencia. I'm the first story in the book, which makes me very happy. Some new acceptances too, some going back quite a way. Firstly, "College Reunion" will be in the Mammoth Book of Erotic Confessions, ETA May 2009. That one will be under a made up name (What! And you thought Cheyenne Blue was invented! ;). Then "White Rush" and "Lake Logan" will both be in Alison Tyler's upcoming "Frenzy" put out by Cleis Press. Also upcoming from Cleis is Radclyffe's "Best Lesbian Romance 2009". My story "Eyes" has made the cut for that. Then, after an absence of a couple of years, I have a story, "What If?", in Best Women's Erotica. And finally, I'm also short listed for Tristan Taormino's "Best Lesbian Erotica". I'll keep you posted! 09/23/07 - Bad Cheyenne! Months without an update. Firstly, I have in my hands a slew of contributor's copies. "Tales of Travelrotica for Lesbians Volume 2" edited by Simone Thorne contains my story "Carrowkeel", which is the last story in the book. Rightly or wrongly, I always get a real kick out of being one of the first two or last two stories. Not that I've ever been the number one cab off the rank. Someday, maybe. Travelrotica has great stories from great authors. Don't miss "In from the Cold" by Lynne Jamneck. Also edited by Simone Thorne is "Best Lesbian Love Stories: Summer Flings" which has my Colorado story, "Warm Hands". The cover of Rachel Kramer Bussel's "Sex and Candy" is exactly like the contents: a riotous swirl of warmth and variety. My story "Rosehips are Red" is in here, and I'll let you into a secret. The dog in the story, Sammy, was a real and much loved friend. I miss him, but I'm happy that in some small way he gets to live on in this story. Some acceptances too. "Postcards from Europe" is included in Alison Tyler's "J is for Jealousy", those dinky books with the gorgeous covers and steamy contents. The ever-awesome folks at Clean Sheets have accepted "Marathon Woman" which is another story about running and sex. Or is that sex and running? Publication date for that is tentatively in early April. 6/2/07 - The Iridescence Blog Tour is underway. Here is the link to my Q&A. 5/30/07 - "Iridescence: Sensuous Shades of Lesbian Erotica", edited by Jolie du Pre, will be on the shelves any day now. Jolie is starting a blog tour so readers can learn a bit more about the authors and their stories. The tour kicks off in Jolie's blog on June 1. I'm second cab off the rank on June 2. Check back here then! 5/15/07 - More shiny contributor's copies. This one is "Best Date Ever", from Alyson. 4/30/07 - An acceptance for one of my favorite type of anthologies: lesbian love stories. "Warm Hands" (set in Aspen, Colorado) has made the cut for "Best Lesbian Love Stories: Summer Flings" edited by Simone Thorne and published by Alyson Books. Publication is October 2007. 04/12/07 - Two very nice acceptances. "Arizona, Ireland, New England" will be in Alison Tyler's "E is for Exotic", and "Game, Set and Match" will be in her "G is for Games". Both books are part of her themed alphabet series put out by Cleis Press. 3/28/07 - My mail caught up with me, bringing with it my contributor's copies of "Hard Road, Easy Riding". I've loved reading the hot stories from people like Shanna Germain, Sacchi Green, Rakelle Valencia and others. 02/01/07 - Shiny new books! My contributor's copies of "Best Lesbian Romance", "Best Gay Romance" and "After Midnight: true lesbian erotic confessions" arrived from Cleis. There I am, between the covers with a plethora of excellent writers such as Lynne Jamneck, Fiona Zedde, Radclyffe, and Rob Rosen. 12/15/06 - The last acceptance for 2006. "Paris 2003" (as Maggie Kinsella) is accepted for "Untrue Stories of Lesbian Passion" which will be put out by Bella Books under the Bella After Dark imprint.
12/9/06 - Here's a whole bunch of belated news: "Carrowkeel" is accepted for Alyson's "Travelrotica for Lesbians" with a publication date of summer 2007. As a travel writer by day, I'm always delighted to combine my passions like this! "Running Together" (as Maggie Kinsella) is another acceptance by Alyson, this one in "Best Date Ever". Another merging of my passions -- this one running and sex. :) I'll have two stories in Shanna Germain's "Screaming Orgasm and a Slow Comfortable Screw". "Harvey Wallbanger" and "Sex on the Beach" (again, as Maggie Kinsella). This anthology is put out by Pretty Things Press. "Glory B.", a favorite story of mine, will be in Jolie Du Pre's "Iridescence: Sensuous Shades of Lesbian Erotica", published by Alyson. "The Watcher in the Shadows" made the cut for Rakelle Valencia and Amie Evan's Drag Kings Anthology, published by Suspect Thoughts Press. "Goodbye, Johnny Fitz" (as Charles LeDuc) will be out this December in "Best Gay Romance" put out by Cleis Press, 6/29/06 - "Bright, Blowsy Poppies" (as Maggie Kinsella) and "Stepping Out" are confirmed for "Best Lesbian Romance" published by Cleis Press. 6/17/06 - Contributor's copies of "Erotic Interludes 3 - Lessons in Love" put out by Bold Stroke Books arrived. This looks like one hot read! 1/26/06 - Contributor's copies of "The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica Vol. 5" arrived today. I'm in excellent company! 1/25/06 - I've had stories accepted for "Best Lesbian Romance, 2007", published by Cleis Press, January 2007. Details later. 1/20/06 - Acceptance for "London, 1988" (writing as Maggie Kinsella). It will appear in "After Midnight: true lesbian erotic confessions" edited by Chelsea James and published by Cleis Press, due out July 2006. 1/13/06 - "Rosehips Are Red" will be in "Sex and Candy", edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel and published by Pretty Things Press, due out early 2007. 11/30/05 - "The Seer's Wife" is up at Clean Sheets. 11/26/05 - The wonderful Clean Sheets bought my story, "The Seer's Wife". They're not dragging their heels; it will be up next Wednesday. 11/8/05 - Plenty of information about the forthcoming "Aqua Erotica 2" here, at Melcher Media. Table of contents, authors, even a sample story. Enjoy! 11/6/05 - Added this page to the site, and reordered story and publication lists to the more logical most recent first. 11/4/05 - My story, "So Cold the Night" which was first published in "Foreign Affairs: Erotic Travel Tales" is one of the ten finalists for the Rauxa Prize, an annual award for "an erotic short story of exceptional literary quality." The winner will be announced later this month. 10/2/05 - "The Hairy Matchmaker" will be included in "Lipstick on Her Collar", edited by Sacchi Green and Rakelle Valencia, Fall 2006 9/15/05 - My story, "Perspex Window" will be included in "Lessons In Love", published by Bold Stroke Books, May 2006. 8/29/05 - "Forget-Me-Not" will be included in "Aqua Erotica 2", published by Melcher Media, November, 2005 6/25/05 - "Five States" will be included in "Mammoth Best New Erotica 5", edited by Maxim Jakubowski, December 2005. 2/15/05 - "Irish Abroad" will be included in "Hard Road, Easy Riding: Lesbian Biker Erotica", edited by Sacchi Green and Rakelle Valencia, published by Haworth Press.
